There are two good news for this Proton:
1. The higher end model (4B11 2.0 liter engine) of Proton Inspira comes with paddle shift and advanced auto-cruise feature. The auto cruise feature is useful especially cruising on the highway. It is also claimed that this Proton Inspira is using leather seat.
2. The Proton Inspira is a rebadged Mitsubishi Lancer meaning that Proton's input on altering the Inspira is limited which is built at the Shah Alam plant and Tanjung Malim. On the outside Inspira gets Proton's own grille and revised front/rear bumpers; the headlamps and tail lights are unchanged.

As part of the agreement with Mitsubishi Motor, Proton was restricted from tuning the Lancer's powertrains, so the Mitsubishi's 4B10 1.8 liter engine with a 5-speed manual, Mitsubishi 4B10 1.8 liter engine
with a 6-speed virtual ratio CVT gearbox, or 4B11 2.0 liter engine with
the same CVT transmission.
The chassis is obviously the same as the Lancer's but Proton was allowed to tune the suspension setting with Lotus DNA technology. This show how the different between Inspira and the Lancer in terms of ride-and-handling.
Price for the brand new Proton Inspira:
1.8 Manual --> RM79,999
1.8 CVT Auto --> RM87,000
2.0 CVT Auto Premium --> RM94,000
The official pricing will be unveiled at the official launch by the 10th of November 2010.
